Our guests can help reduce the environmental impact of their event visit through their choices and actions. Together with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, we have compiled practical tips for event guests and event organisers.
Tips for an Environmentally Considerate Event Visit
1. Food
Consider choosing vegetarian options. Our Nordic Swan Ecolabelled locations offer vegetarian food and meet the Nordic Swan Ecolabel requirements for organic products. Only take as much food as you can eat.
2. Waste Sorting
Please remember to sort your waste properly and avoid unnecessary consumption.
3. Accommodation
When choosing accommodation, consider an ecolabelled hotel. A Nordic Swan Ecolabelled hotel meets the Nordic Swan Ecolabel’s environmental requirements concerning areas such as energy, water, waste, chemicals and food. Kassiopeia’s Hotel Levi Panorama, Hotel K5 Levi and Hotel Matts are Nordic Swan Ecolabelled.
4. Good to Know
Kassiopeia’s hotels, including their meeting facilities, and Levi Summit Event Center are Nordic Swan Ecolabelled. Depending on the location, the criteria cover areas such as energy consumption, water use, waste sorting, reducing food waste, cleaning and washing products, and staff training.
Please also do your part by taking the environment into consideration when using the meeting rooms and conference center.

Tips for Organising an Environmentally Considerate Event
1. Consumption
Reduce unnecessary consumption, for example by avoiding unnecessary use of paper.
2. Catering
Consider choosing vegetarian options for the catering. Please provide the restaurant with as accurate a participant number as possible to help prevent food waste.
3. Accommodation
If you are arranging accommodation for participants, consider ecolabelled options. A Nordic Swan Ecolabelled hotel meets the Nordic Swan Ecolabel’s environmental requirements concerning areas such as energy, water, waste, chemicals and food. Hotel Levi Panorama, Hotel K5 Levi and Hotel Matts are Nordic Swan Ecolabelled.
4. Printed Materials
If you need printed materials for your event, choose ecolabelled options whenever possible.
5. Guidance
Encourage participants in advance to travel to the event by public transport or carpool.
5. Inform
Inform the event staff and participants that the meeting or event venue is Nordic Swan Ecolabelled, and take environmental considerations into account when planning the event.
