Northern Lights
The Northern Lights season in the North lasts about 7 months. You can see the Northern Lights from mid-August to early April. The lights can be seen as early as dusk, but statistically, the best chances are between 9 PM and 1 AM.
Migratory Birds
In addition to breathtaking landscapes and exciting adventures, Lapland boasts a vibrant birdlife that captivates bird enthusiasts. Migratory birds spread into Northern Finland mainly during April and May. Late-melting meadows form streams and ponds where a diverse range of bird species, such as the Common ringed plover and the Temminck’s stint, thrive. Many typical bird species, especially Charadriis like Tringas and Calidris, inhabit the swamps of Lapland.
