META/Facebook Terms of Use
KASSIOPEIA FINLAND GROUP AND FMETA JOINT DATA CONTROLLER PRIVACY NOTICE
1. Data Controllers
Kassiopeia Finland Oy (on behalf of all companies within the Kassiopeia Finland Group, hereinafter referred to as “Kassiopeia”) and META are joint data controllers, as applicable, for the fan and community pages and messaging services on META managed by Kassiopeia. This privacy notice applies to individuals who have liked or otherwise interacted with any META page managed by Kassiopeia.
META processes personal data in accordance with its own privacy policies. META is primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection laws and for ensuring data security and the exercise of data subject rights within its service. More information on META’s processing of personal data and how to exercise data subject rights can be found at www.facebook.com/privacy/. Data subjects can manage their privacy settings on META. Kassiopeia is responsible for processing the content of messages.
2. Purposes of Personal Data Processing and Legal Basis
Kassiopeia processes personal data obtained through fan and community pages and messaging services for its own purposes, such as informing individuals about new services or offers, organizing competitions and sweepstakes, receiving feedback, purchasing advertisements from META, measuring the reach of pages or ads, and providing customer service via META. The processing of personal data is based on Kassiopeia’s legitimate interests.
3. Personal Data Processed and Sources of Data
Kassiopeia receives the following information from META: the name of the data subject as registered on Facebook, the publicly visible profile picture, and other information that the data subject has chosen to make publicly available on META. The data subject may voluntarily provide additional personal data through comments on fan and community pages or in the messaging service. Kassiopeia does not process Facebook data outside of META and does not combine it with other records without the data subject’s consent and prior notification. Kassiopeia may use social media management tools to manage META.
The data subject can restrict the processing of their personal data by unfollowing or unliking the fan or community page. The data subject can also request Kassiopeia to delete any conversation held through the messaging service.
4. Disclosure and Transfer of Personal Data
Kassiopeia does not transfer or disclose personal data outside of the EU or the European Economic Area, nor to international organizations. Kassiopeia does not carry out automated decision-making or profiling based on the data in the register that would have legal effects on the data subject.
5. Rights of the Data Subject
The data subject has the following rights:
- Right of access to personal data
- Right to rectification of personal data
- Right to erasure of personal data
- Right to object to processing
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to data portability
If the data subject wishes to exercise their rights or obtain more information about the processing of their personal data, they can contact META, which is primarily responsible for ensuring the data subject’s rights are upheld: www.facebook.com/privacy/.
