Nokkalan Majakka reopens after renovation
In the coastal café-restaurant Nokkalan Majakka located in Espoo, new winds are blowing. Alongside the refurbished indoor spaces, Nokkalan Majakka has been awarded the Nordic Swan Ecolabel for its environmental efforts. The grand reopening week is underway, with special offers awaiting customers.
A more functional and refreshed space, yet retaining its warm atmosphere
Nokkalan Majakka, completed in 2016, has recently concluded its interior renovation. At the heart of the renovation was the service counter, now operating more efficiently and serving customers with greater ease.
– The new look brings a modern freshness while preserving the cozy atmosphere of Nokkalan Majakka. Now, we can offer our customers even more comfortable and functional spaces, says restaurant manager Salla Eräkare.
Responsible restaurant operations with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel
At the beginning of 2024, Nokkalan Majakka was awarded the Nordic Swan Ecolabel for its environmental initiatives. The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is one of the world’s most stringent environmental certifications, with criteria extending to daily practices such as waste sorting, the use of eco-labeled products, serving more sustainable food, minimizing waste, and training staff in environmental matters.
– We are proud of the certification we have received. As a responsible Finnish operator, we want to make our sustainability efforts visible,” continues Eräkare.
Special offers during the grand opening week
The restaurant opened as planned on Monday, February 12, and special offers await customers throughout the opening week.
– It’s great that we were able to open according to plan before Valentine’s Day, says Eräkare.
